Diversity Statement
We aspire to reflect the rich diversity of the autistic population. Although we know we aren’t there yet, we’re working hard on this. However, not all diversity is visible, and our team has representation from the following heritages/communities: LGBTQ+, Jewish and Gypsy Roma Traveller (GRT).
Caroline Hearst
Founder
Caroline realised she is autistic in her fifties. This transformational discovery led to her developing training about autism for therapists and a peer support programme for neurodivergent adults (“Exploring Being Autistic”). She founded AutAngel in 2013 and retired from AutAngel in 2025. Details of Caroline's work are at www.autismmatters.org.uk
